Speaking of brunch

Speaking of brunch... Cafe LuLuc had quite a crowd waiting to sit this past Sunday. We were walking by and were impressed. In fact, they seemed to have the biggest grouping that we saw that day, but what do others have to say about local brunch spots? Who else throws together a good one?

as one of the people in your picture--!!--i go to luluc because they have the best pancakes in all of new york. i think bacchus does the best quiche and croque madame, and the hill diner has a terrific breakfast--the name escapes me--with two eggs on top of this crispy dough with pickles and hot pepper relish. it sounds strange but is absolutly divine!
if you're looking fro a crowd i'd say head to tabac--who has got the live music going every weekend.

I've eaten at Cafe Luluc several times and have never understood why it's so popular. The food was quite mediocre and far below many of the other restaurants on Smith St. It's just my opinion.
